Cornish wedding venue unveils gorgeous restored barn for exclusive hire!

Exclusive wedding and events venue Pengenna Manor in North Cornwall

An 800-year-old private family home set in over 300 beautiful acres, has announced a very exciting addition to its offering – The Cowyard Barn. This 200-year-old building has been restored and re-purposed to create a gorgeous permanent undercover space for wedding ceremonies and/or drinks receptions for up to 150 guests, and a delightful reception dinner venue for up to 100 guests.

The space has been left purposefully blank for you to decorate and style however you like with concrete floors and bare stone walls, but with the addition of atmospheric strings of festoon lightbulbs amongst the old beams, and also some funky hidden feature lighting. Bespoke rustic trestle tables and wooden folding chairs are available, or you can hire in your own furniture. External Wedding caterers can set up a pop-up kitchen inside the barn, or in the courtyard outside. A very cool rustic bar clad in corrugated metal has been installed – and even this is on wheels so it can be re-located for total flexibility!

For your evening party the hidden feature lighting transforms into a colour-changing disco mode and DJ’s or bands can set up wherever you like with plenty of space for dancing the night away.

Richard Blewett, proprietor of Pengenna Manor, said – “We’re so excited to be able to offer this fabulous new permanent event space, that can either be used to host a smaller wedding as the main reception space, or in conjunction with a marquee in the garden next door for a bigger celebration of up to 350 guests, and it’s funny to think where we used to milk and calve the cows, wedding guests will now be partying!”
