Beautiful sunshine at Knightor for Camilla and Scott

Camilla and Scott visited Knightor on a cold, windy and rainy day in November despite the weather they both completely fell in love with it! In fact, every time they visited Knightor it would pour with rain.

"We were a bit worried that this was a 'sign' our wedding day would be rainy too. It wasn't! We were so lucky to have beautiful sunshine on the day. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and we loved the rustic feel."

Tracey Warbey Photography

Camilla started searching online for local photographers quite soon after they had secured their wedding date. Finding a photographer that they were both happy with was important so they gave themselves plenty of time to research. Camilla likes to be organised and wrote a shortlist of five 'favourites' and rank-ordered them secretly then Scott looked at them and rank-ordered them too.

"Tracey Warbey Photography came out as number one on both lists! We loved her natural style. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Tracey was just brilliant and on the day she felt more like a friend than a photographer."

Theme

Knightor has a natural rustic feel, so Camilla and Scott went along with this when choosing their decorations and colour scheme.

"We decorated jam jars with hessian and brown string, and we put Gypsophila in them to decorate the arbour. Our table plan was arranged on a crate decorated in pink flowers."

Wedding Feast

"Due to the COVID restrictions, we went for one, sit down meal. It was amazing! Everyone commented on how delicious the food was and how generous the portion sizes were."

The Dress

Camilla chose her dress from Coastal Bridal in Mevagissey a dress was from their True Bride collection

"It was the very first dress that I tried on and I fell in love with it. I initially wasn't sure whether I loved it just because I'd never worn a wedding dress before, but after trying on about five more I realised that the first dress was definitely the one for me!

The ladies in Coastal Bridal are just fantastic and I would definitely recommend any brides going to have a look at their beautiful selection."

The Groom and Grooms men

"My husband Scott, my Dad, Scott's dad and Best Man Ben all wore a navy three-piece suit from Marks and Spencer's with a dusty pink tie and handkerchief. Our two-year-old son, Henry, wore a very similar suit from River Island. He even had a mini matching bow tie and buttonhole!"

Favourite part of the day

"My favourite part of the day was probably the moment that we were announced, husband and wife! That was the moment that I got a bit emotional. After all the uncertainty with COVID and possible future lockdowns, it was such a magical moment to finally be announced, husband and wife. Sharing our day with our little boy was also so special. I also loved our photoshoot as a couple; it was lovely to spend that time together on our special day. Scott can't choose a favourite moment, he just loved all of it!!"

Top Tips

"I would say to any couples planning their wedding during COVID to just try to enjoy the build-up. Your day will arrive, and on that day all that matters is each other and the life that you share together. Our day wasn't what we had originally planned, but I actually wouldn't change it for the world. It was our day and it was perfect."
